Interview With Lost In Chaos mediazine
Hello! First, This Twice Interview with Animal Killing People, so who is currently situated in the AKP camp?
Well like is been from the beginning ANIMALS KILLING PEOPLE is Manuel Quique on guitars,me Wilson Rairan on Drums and now we have a vocalist his name is Eston Browne he's doing a good job, and most likely we have a new member on guitars when we come back to New York but i still dont announce it until is more official.
Originally AKP Home sick home band from New York City or Columbia ??
Originally AKP was created in Brooklyn,New York.Manuel and I are natives from Colombia that's why sometimes many people have said that the band is from Colombia i would say in some way it is but New York is where we live and create all of our music.
It seems like the debut album “ Kentucky Fried Killing ” has been received rather well. What was the best review you’ve had and which one was the worst?
So far i haven't check on any reviews on the album to tell you the truth i haven't even seen the final product, right now we're playing some shows in Colombia.but i have heard many good things about the album i feel is being received very well by the metal scene worldwide.
" Kentucky Fried Killing " is AKP most dramatic and dynamically aggressive Brutal Death metal release thus far, concentrating heavily on creating memorable hooks within a very song-orientated framework. Can you tell me how you approached the song writing this time around and how this process different from your previous releases?
I think the writing process on "Kentucky Fried Killing" was very simmilar to our previous release "Human Hunting Season",Manuel would come to rehearse with a lot of ideas on the music then we would star jamming to create the final product of the song,we would throw ideas here and there until we were really satisfied. Then i would write the lirics that fit the song or that had the best feel connected to the music and then i would do the same with the intros.
There seems to be an even bigger influence present in these new songs that on the likes of "Homo Sapiens Lab Rats" and "Kentucky Fried Killing" give way to a much more evil and bombastic Animal Killing People than ever before. How much of a part do classical composers play in terms of influencing the way you create your music?
I know one thing that Manuel wanted to create was something that would resemble a lot some classical music feeling to our music,on the structure of the music, even though not many would notice that unless you're very familiar and experienced to this kind of music,i think its great that you notice that,I myself love classical music since i grew listening to it along with Metal, but my focus was on creating a more brutal and faster record than the previous one,so that, and manuel's vision combined was very powerful.
Are You Satisfied Work with Sevared Records ?? are you Know as well all Sevared Band Roster till Now??
I know that Sevared Records is a great label I've known Barret for some time and i know that he does the best for the bands that are on his label,I always liked his work,So far we haven't had any problems and i know that that won't change.
Basing the lyrical concept of this album around the perverse yet Animal Liberation Campaign is something Animal Killing People have explored on and off since the "Human Hunting Season" MCD. From what angle have you approached this subject on "Kentucky Fried Killing"?
Yeahh this is something that lives on me personally it's a way of life,i try to help with the issue of Animal Liberation and all that has to do with it in all the ways i can,Even when it doesn't have to do with the band, the title of the album of course has to do with a protest or whatever yo want to call it against the nasty fast food chains of restaurants "KFC" specially, but also all the others that abuse, kill and torture thousands of animals just to please the grotesque taste of unconsciouss humans that dont even know what these animals have to go through before their decomposing dead meat get to their plates to be devoured in just a few minutes,in a very disrespectful way to these innocent beings that are stuck in the horrible and ignorant human reality. go and watch a movie or a video about this and see if you feel like eating them after knowing the truth.

Production-wise "Kentucky Fried Killing" is undoubtedly the most brutal-sounding Animal Killing people release to date yet still manages to harness a clarity that enables all the twin leads and intricacies to shine through in all their Raw Intense . What were your initial ideas of how you wanted this album to sound before you went into the studio and do you feel that again on Full Force studio?
Well we have talked about this a lot after we got the final product,we dont really feel exactly that we reached the sound we wanted to,recording on Full Force Studio Was a great experience and the enginners joe and danny were great and very hospitalary i must say, they're great people, but the mixing part was a little bit stressful with them, the interest from their side wasn't very much what we felt it would be. so yeah there are some parts of the album that even though we think is good soundwise we think it could've been better or closer to what we wanted to achive when we entered the studio which was a more powerful sound and yes a little clearer.
what about lyric song, Bloody Vengeance Against Humans On Behalf Of The Animals Rights ?? I see More some " Pig " with Band Pose and artwork, Are band same Imaging Idea with Czech grind Like PIGSTY?
I dont really know much about them i have their album "The Return" which i think is great but i dont really know what's their lyrical content,so i cant say.
And How about The Myspace statement " FRYING HUMANS SINCE 2004 "?
That's around when the band started so that's what it is..
Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen when during Records? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
Nothing really unusual.and yes we had the final call on the mix.
tell me too about AKP Clip " Wrong Lunch - Raw Buffet Of Human Organs ", are satisfied with this Concept band?
This video is really old we recorded it for the re-release of "Human Hunting Season", We wanted to include a video on the cd so we did,we were and still are satisfied with the concept of the video the production wasn't the best but we still like it since it was our first video but if you want to see something better and that goes more with the concept of AKP watch the new video that is included on the new cd or on youtube,or our space for the song:"Humans Disgusting Species".
What would be the ultimate Brutal death metal package be for you to either be part of or to attend? The billing can have up to 10 bands :-)
I dont know man i guess i'd have to say:
-PURULENT but is impossible since my brother's gone
-DISGORGE-MEXICO
-WORMED-From Spain they're great.
-BLOODY GORE-i think they're form indonesia one of my all time favorite bands.
-TORSOFUCK.
-RETCH-i dont know if they're still together.
-BRODEQUIN-with Chad Walls
-PUSTULATED-but they're not together anymore.
-CHRIST DENIED.
-and it would be great and an honor to play on a show like this. so i have to include ourselves hehe..
Thanks a ton, guys! Last question, and this one is a doozy. What are your views on stem cell research, human cloning, and the "organic computers" that are sure to result from combining "flesh" with "technology"? Flying cars are quickly becoming a reality as well, what do you think of them?
Stem cell research:dont really know a lot about that as long animals are not involved i dont care;human cloning as long as they dont clone more assholes that's ok there are way to many on this planet already, and organic computers thats sounds weird and nasty, flesh combined with technology? you mean some kind of robot, hehe?,i dont care anyway, flying cars are ok as long as they dont pollute the planet anymore but instead if they use clean technology, sound good.!!
Well, this Fuckin interviews can be very nice too and on that note I’ll conclude this one. Thanks for doing this little digital tea chat Mail and let’s hope our webzine will still be around for whatever next band release you’ll be on haha. keep existing for extreme metal flames forever !!
