Interview With PARENTAL ADVISORY ( Vienna, Austria )

Update 10-12-2008 By Herry SIC
Answered By Sic ( Guitar / vocals ) & Tomas Z ( Drums )

Hello! First, so who is currently situated in the PARENTAL ADVISORY ( PA ) camp?
Sic: Hi! I..m playing the six string and the vokills. Otto playes the guitar and solo, my brother Marathon the bass and Tom is our blast machine. We do this since 11 years.
My brother, otto and me created this band, Tom is since 5 years in this band.

Your band name has familiar as a little Message on Cover band with Critism and Horrify material as worst, Why band Choose this name ?? and Members of the Vienna Headfuck Crew with Misanthropic Might ? tell me it...
sic:there is no special reason why we’ve chooseenwe choose this name. PA is not a classic death or brutal death metal name. In the begining we’ve chooseenwe choose this name for just a while, we searched for another name, but in the meanwhile the name became more “popular”people in austria knew us under PA. One part of our lyrics is about horror and insane, so the cover artwork(by our drummer) is perfect for our style. My brother and me also play in our band Misanthropic Might (Black metal). We had a song called Headfuck in our demo infested with zombies, so we choose the name headfuckcrew, it is some kind of relationship between the two bands ?

First time, congratulation for new Cd has be released for Now, and How have people reacted to " The Wither Process ", and what is the band doing now? are you satisfied with Great Job with your label Nice To eat You Records ( Hello Fleshless ), that label doing some Great Job for PA ?
sic:Thanx, the reactions from the people are amazing. We are very happy about this album, and the people like our shit, live and on cd. That..s great. Our plan is to play a lot of festivals this summer, we..ll see. It..s good to have a label wich do some work, many people know us now through this release. It..s a small but fine label, and our first deal, but i think that is a great chance for us.

Nice To eat You Records Has Especially Realesed Stuff From Brutal Death metal Band Only ??
sic: i only knew brutal death releases, so,yes!

It seems like the debut new CD “ The Wither Process ” on 2008 has been received rather well. What was the best review you’ve had and which one was the worst?
Sic:We had a lot of great reviews and feedback, one was worst, the guy who reviewed that, wasis not a brutal death metal fan, so...

" The Wither Process " is PA most dramatic and dynamically aggressive Brutal Death metal release thus far, concentrating heavily on creating memorable hooks within a very song-orientated framework. Can you tell me how you approached the song writing this time around and how this process different from your previous Music concept ?
tom: well, we just meet on a couple of days a week in our rehearsal room and “let it go”!
first of all it is important to free our minds. We all have jobs and we all know that life is not always easy, so if you free your mind (can say literally) and it flows from inside. We don’t have always a concept or “a must” to create our sound, sometimes it happens that one of us or all of us have a good idea – the rest is just musical interest and of course experience for more than 10 years playing this music!

How Compared " The Wither Process " with " Zombie Legion ' Demo 2005 " ?? I still Faithfull Great Regards For " Zombie Legion ", Thats Its Sickest Intense Stuff on 2005 for PA Introduce...
tom: Thank you! Of course it is still Parental Advisory! You can compare these both records as a brutal death piece. And as a step forward in 3 years of playing lot of shows and practicing, but from the same band. Except the drumming was a little bit different, because the drums were recorded by the former drummer Niko. And of course our co-producer and sound engineer Gore (bass player for Hollenthon and ex Pungent Stench), just “pimped up” his recording-equipment, hehe.

There seems to be an even bigger influence present in thesesongs that on the likes of " Commercial Suicide " and " Allahu Akbar " give way to a much more Interested themes and bombastic PA than ever. How much of a part do classical composers play in terms of influencing the way you create your music?
tom: those both songs are absolutely top. Of course we like all of our songs, but f.e. playing them live makes the crowd insanily crazy! Well, the influences – the register of all influences would be too big ;-) As you can read it above – there is an good idea and we just keep on working on it

Good work Drumming with Tomas Z for this band, Tomas Z keep Total on Music for everyday, everytime ?? and Tomas keep play on Seeds of Sorrow ?
He spends some time in martial arts, that makes him so fast ? He left seeds of sorrow in 2006. He is only in PA.
tom: Thank you, I am very very happy and proud to be a member of PA!!!

Basing the lyrical concept of this album around the perverse Critism related to the acceptance of saints, symbols and Sarcastic words theme is something PA have explored on and off on the Cover album " The Wither Process ". From what angle have you approached this subject on "The Wither Process "?
Sic: the first song “commercial suicide” and “from ass to mouth”is about religion, christian believers, who still believe every shit and that killing is ok if you do this for religion.A critical angle also is allahu akbar, just for another religion. This song is critical against muslims who make war and terror only for allah and their religion.. We think that killing people in general has nothing to do with Bible, Qran, Tanakh, Watchtower etc. These songs against religions, it doesn’tmatter if christians or muslims. It is against the extreme people and extremists who kill people for different thinking, for different view of life or religion. “With us or against us” – FUCK THAT!!! The other lyrics are about zombies, suicide and insane.

Production-wise "The Wither Process " is undoubtedly the most brutal-sounding PA please to date yet still manages to harness a clarity that enables all the twin leads and intricacies to shine through in all their Raw Intense . What were your initial ideas of how you wanted this album to sound before you went into the studio ?
sic: Zombie Legion and the Wither Process were recorded at the same studio, so we know what kind of sound we get (hopefully ;-). But just see above – the studio-equipment and the experience of our Soundman and us has given the record the final cut. And of course – our mastering man – Boban Milunovic from Fabrika13 Mastering just knows how to finish the sound!. Our idea was generally a “fat” sound from the bottom and, clear drums. You should hear every detail, but also a big soundwall. I am very happy about the sound and production. We recorded at the “dangerous meeting”Studio from our friend Gore (Ex Pungent Stench and now at Hollenthon)and Mastering by Boban from Fabrika 13. This Guys done some great work.

Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen when during Records? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ and Guitar Duties placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
tom: everything was just fine! We just stepped on it and did our best and – like our sound – pretty fast! The recording sessions were very relaxed and funny too. Gore (our sound engineer) is also our good friend and for us all it was very important to do our work at 100%, with power and enthusiasm. It is senseless to have a big major deal with a producer sitting behind you and telling you how to do your thing – fuck it! But it is also sensles to start a recording session after a hard drinking night – you better go home and come tomorrow again ;-) Till’ the final mix a couple of mixes were around. But it was ok, otherwise it means you don’t care. The same for the booklet design, logo etc.

All this time, you've been touring and sharing the stage with several great bands, too. Which bands did you like best touring with? Which of all your tours is the most unforgettable? Could you share to us some of your best and worst touring experiences?
Sic: We never had a big tour, so i can..t tell you some experiences.
We had a lot shows with great bands, but i think one of our greatest support show..s was with Dying Fetus, Hate eternal, Deeds of Flesh, Prejudice, Pungent Stench, Gwar ….
In the year 2001 we had a small tour through Austria with Seeds of sorrow and Cryosphere:
A lot of fun, alcohol and good and bad shows ?

What would be the ultimate Brutal death metal package be for you to either be part of or to attend? The billing can have up to 10 bands :-)
Sic:Good question.
Cannibal Corpse, Deeds of Flesh, Dying Fetus, Benighted, Devourment, Origin, Waco Jesus(great guys), Skinless, Goregasm and us ?

How are Death metal Movement on Vienna, Austria scene ?? keepin killer with have more horrify band there ?? How are you with Belphegor, Pungent Stench, Disastrous Murmur, etc, are they keep staying exist now ?? How about High recommend for new comer band from this scene ??
tom: It is really great – now! And it grows bigger and bigger. Now there are many show-promoters who are talking to the people/audience and they book really good brutal death bands (not only but too!) and this is it – keep the scene alive. Generally the metal scene in Vienna is not that big. The most people know each other, but I guess, it is similar to other European cities. Belphegor did it man! They catched a Nuclear Blast deal and keep on touring, but that’s it for that kind of music! Pungent Stench split up – unfortunately! Pungent was the biggest and most popular metal band from Austria. Disastrous Murmur – well I don’t know, I have supported them with my former band a couple of years ago

simple Question with your Opinion :
- How fuckin Kickin Riffing : Diego Sanchez of Disgorge or Jeremy Of Origin sound or Jesse Pindato ( RIP ) of Terrorizer / Napalm Death / lock Up ?
Disgorge
- How fuckin Intense drumming Skill and powerfully : Ricky Myers of Disgorge or John Longstreth ORIGIN ??
Tom: oh man, don’t pick in my bloody drummer wounds ;-)
These guys are insane! Especially John Longstreth – I was standing beside him at their last show in Vienna in June 2008 and looking like a teenie boy who was jerking off for first time ;-)))
Origin
- How fuckin Great Growling Vokill : Matti ways of Ex. Disgorge or Levi of Disgorge or Ruben of Devourment ??
Ruben
- who fuckin 4 string hell Bassist for now from PA ??
Tom: it is Marathon – brother of Sic and he plays now 6 string hell bass!!!

Any Future next Plan soon PA ??
Play a lot of shows, do some new stuff for a new album in 2 or 3 years.

Thanks a ton, guys! Last question, and this one is a doozy. What are your views on stem cell research, human cloning, and the "organic computers" that are sure to result from combining "flesh" with "technology"? Flying cars are quickly becoming a reality as well, what do you think of them?
Sic:Flesh with technology, a bionic arm whould make me play faster ? If i could clone myself, i would let him work for me ?
Tom: if stem cell research could be helpful in for “fight” against cancer, h.i.v. or other heavy disease – I’ll support it. Human cloning, flesh with technology … it is sad, but we can’t stop it …

Well, this Fuckin interviews can be very nice too and on that note I’ll conclude this one. Thanks for doing this little digital tea chat Mail and let’s hope our webzine will still be around for whatever next band release you’ll be on haha. keep existing for extreme metal flames forever !!
tom: thank you for the interview and listening to our music!!!
Thanx for the inti too!
Keep on rotting
