Interview With HORDE CASKET ( Amarillo, Texas, Usa )

Update 10-12-2008 By Herry SIC
Answered By Steve Giddens ( guitar / vocals )

Hello! First, so who is currently situated in the HORDE CASKET camp?
Steve Giddens (gtr/vocals)
Matt Grice (gtr/vocals)
Kevin Bernardy (drums)
Reymundo Campos (bass)

It seems like the debut new Full Album “ Landscape Of Cadavers ” on 2008 has been received rather well. What was the best review you’ve had and which one was the worst?
Well we don't know about the US, but it seems rather well recieved in EU. What do you think?

" Landscape Of Cadavers " is HC most dramatic and dynamically aggressive Brutal Death metal release thus far, concentrating heavily on creating memorable hooks within a very song-orientated framework. Can you tell me how you approached the song writing this time around and how this process different from your previous Music concept ?
We just did what felt good and what we like to hear. You know, be true to oneself type of stuff....

There seems to be an even bigger influence present in thesesongs that on the likes of " Grotesque Contents " and " Repository Necrotic Inception " give way to a much more evil and bombastic HC than ever. How much of a part do classical composers play in terms of influencing the way you create your music?
Honestly we all have our influences. But without saying much, some of the songs do take on some varying formats that the Classical composers would have taken in terms of maybe repeating the secions... but always progressing.

tell me too about " Horde Casket Demo 2007 " any different with new HOC stuff ??
As a 3 piece we then added a vocalist amd 2nd guitaris for full length, then parted ways with the vocalist... now Steve and Matt are on deck for vocals.

Are all member keep style to Play on HC than Contaminated style other member band like as Infliction ( Us ), Septic Devourment, Episiotomy and maybe Ongendus??
All the bands led up to what we're doing now but we mesh well... what do you think?

and HC enjoy to manage self independen release for " Landscape Of Cadavers " album, what needs for some label for do it all as well?? How about Pathologically Explicit Records ??
Patholigic thought it well to release... we thought so too cuz they seemed like cool dudes!!!!

Basing the lyrical concept of this album around the perverse yet Violent gore related to the acceptance of Gore saints, symbols and Sadistic into the Gore theme is something HC have explored on and off on the Cover album " Landscape Of Cadavers ". From what angle have you approached this subject on "Landscape Of Cadavers "?
We have a vast theme of brutal subject matter that can really happen.

Production-wise "Landscape Of Cadavers" is undoubtedly the most brutal-sounding HC please to date yet still manages to harness a clarity that enables all the twin leads and intricacies to shine through in all their Raw Intense . What were your initial ideas of how you wanted this album to sound before you went into the studio ?
We really wanted it to sound good... but we also had to go in and tell this guy how to do his job. We had to produce the cd all ourselves...

Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen when during Records? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ and Guitar Duties placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
NOthing spectacular really. Not tired. And yes we did have the final call on the final mix.

What would be the ultimate Brutal death metal package be for you to either be part of or to attend? The billing can have up to 10 bands :-)
SUFFOCATION
CANNIBAL CORPSE
NECROPHAGIST
MORBID ANGEL
DEATH
SLAYER

How are Death metal Movement on your resident area, Norman, Oklahoma/Amarillo, Texas?? keepin killer with have more horrify band there ??
It's cool, always can improve though.

Any Future next Plan HC ??
New CD!!!! We already have new material ready to go.

Thanks a ton, guys! Last question, and this one is a doozy. What are your views on stem cell research, human cloning, and the "organic computers" that are sure to result from combining "flesh" with "technology"? Flying cars are quickly becoming a reality as well, what do you think of them?
Stem cell is a plus for progression... unless your a religious zealot, however, we would like to have a beer with ourselves... soo, human cloning is is kewwwwwwwlllll.
Thanks for your time!!!!!
